DESCRIPTION
The LAUNCH CRP919X is a compact professional diagnostic tablet designed for passenger-car workshops that need significantly more capability than a conventional code reader without moving to a larger X-431 platform.
It provides OE-level full-system diagnosis, bidirectional component testing, ECU coding, maintenance functions, AutoVIN and modern vehicle communication protocols in a portable 7-inch format.
Unlike the CRP919X BT, this version communicates with the vehicle through a direct wired OBD-II diagnostic connection.
Access supported electronic control modules across the complete vehicle architecture.
Typical systems include:
Engine · Transmission · ABS · SRS · BCM · Steering · TPMS · EPB · Chassis · HVAC · Immobilizer · Gateway · Network · Body Electronics and other manufacturer-specific systems.
Available diagnostic operations include ECU identification, DTC reading / clearing, live data and complete vehicle health scanning.
CRP919X communicates directly with the vehicle using the supplied OBD-II diagnostic cable.
A wired architecture provides a simple and stable diagnostic connection without requiring a separate Bluetooth DBScar VCI.
Wi-Fi is used for software downloads, online services and software updating.
Send commands from the diagnostic tablet directly to supported vehicle ECUs and actuators.
This allows technicians to test component operation actively and helps distinguish an electrical, mechanical or control problem without unnecessary dismantling.
Supported ECU coding functions can be used after module replacement or repair and for manufacturer-specific configuration procedures.
Depending on the vehicle, functions may include:
ECU coding · component matching · relearn · adaptation · configuration · personalization and supported parameter changes.
CRP919X supports FCA AutoAuth workflows for compatible FCA / Stellantis vehicles equipped with Secure Gateway protection.
An authorized AutoAuth account and applicable regional authorization may be required.
This enables supported protected diagnostic and service operations without physically bypassing the gateway module.
Native support for modern diagnostic protocols provides access to newer vehicle architectures.
CAN FD enables significantly higher CAN network throughput.
DoIP supports high-speed Ethernet-based vehicle diagnosis on compatible platforms.
AutoVIN can automatically retrieve supported vehicle identification information and open the appropriate diagnostic software, reducing manual vehicle selection and speeding up workshop diagnosis.
Generate supported vehicle-health and diagnostic reports containing vehicle information, system scan data and detected fault information.
Reports can be stored and used for workshop documentation and customer records.
Topology Mapping is not listed as a supported CRP919X function in the current 2026 X-431 comparison matrix.
For workshops specifically requiring ECU network topology visualization, a higher X-431 model with verified Topology support should be selected.
