DESCRIPTION
The LAUNCH CRP129HD Elite is a compact professional diagnostic tool developed specifically for commercial and Heavy Duty vehicles. Unlike a SmartLink expansion module, the CRP129HD Elite is a complete standalone diagnostic device with its own touchscreen, operating system, battery and diagnostic software.
It provides full-system diagnostics on supported commercial vehicles, including engine, transmission, drivetrain, ABS, braking, suspension, instrument cluster, body control, climate systems, fuel systems and additional electronic control modules.
The CRP129HD Elite can read and clear DTCs, display real-time data, retrieve ECU information and perform supported actuation tests. It also provides 7 dedicated Heavy Duty service functions covering common workshop maintenance and repair procedures.
Its dedicated HD OBD mode supports Heavy Duty communication standards including SAE J1939, J1708 and J1587 and provides automatic or manual system selection for supported commercial vehicles.
In addition to Heavy Duty diagnostics, CRP129HD Elite also supports standard EOBD / OBDII functions for compatible 12V vehicles. This passenger-vehicle capability is generic OBDII diagnostics and should not be confused with full-system passenger-car diagnostics.

The CRP129HD Elite is designed primarily for commercial and Heavy Duty diagnostics. Standard OBDII support for passenger vehicles does not provide the same full-system coverage available for supported trucks and commercial vehicles.
